Kedehun’s “Golden” returns to No. 1 on UK charts...Saja Voice also on the rise

The song “Golden” from the Netflix animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” has returned to No. 1 on the UK Official Charts.

According to the Official Chart on the 15th (local time), ‘Golden,’ which had fallen to second place on the singles chart last week behind Chapel Ron‘s ‘The Subway,’ returned to the top spot on the chart released that day. Having first claimed the top spot on the UK Official Singles Chart two weeks ago, this song has now become the first K-pop track in history to hold the number one position for two consecutive weeks on this chart. Previously, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” was the only K-pop song to reach number one, holding the position for one week.

The popularity of the “K-pop Demon Hunters” OST is growing. The boy group Saja Voice‘s “Soda Pop” remained at No. 6 from last week, while “Your Idol” climbed one spot to No. 7. Twice’s “Takedown” jumped 12 spots to rank 35th. This is the highest ranking for a Twice song on this chart. In line with the popularity of “Takedown,” the title song ‘Strategy’ from Twice‘s 14th mini-album “Strategy” also rose 19 spots from last week to rank 45th.

The Official Chart explained in an article titled “Golden reclaims the top spot as ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ continues its dominance” that “The ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ OST surpassed the OST for the movie ‘Barbie’ to record the most streams in a single week among all OSTs in the UK.”

“Golden” is a song by the girl group Huntrix from “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” It was composed by Lee Jae, a former SM Entertainment trainee, and performed by singer Audrey Nuna and Ray Ami. All three are Korean-Americans. The lyrics and composition were handled by Lee Jae and American composer Mark Sonnenblick.

케데헌 ‘골든’, 영국 차트 다시 1위 역주행...사자보이스도 상승세



넷플릭스 애니메이션 영화 ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’ 수록곡 ‘골든’(Golden)이 다시 영국 오피셜 차트 1위를 차지했다.

15일(현지시간) 오피셜 차트에 따르면 지난 주 채플 론의 ‘더 서브웨이’(The Subway)에 밀려 2위에 그쳤던 ‘골든’은 이날 공개된 차트에서 다시 한번 1위에 올랐다. 2주 전 처음으로 영국 오피셜 싱글 차트 1위를 차지한 이 곡은 K팝 사상 처음으로 이 차트에서 통산 2주간 1위에 오른 곡이 됐다. K팝 최초이자 ‘골든’ 이전 유일한 1위곡이던 싸이의 ‘강남스타일’은 1주간 1위를 차지했다.

‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’ OST의 인기는 점점 뜨거워지고 있다. 영화 속 보이그룹 사자보이스의 ‘소다 팝’(Soda Pop)은 지난주와 같은 6위, ‘유어 아이돌’(Your Idol)은 한 계단 올라 7위를 차지했다. 트와이스의 ‘테이크다운’(Takedown)은 12계단 뛰어오르며 35위에 올랐다.

오피셜 차트는 “골든이 정상을 탈환하며 ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’의 독주가 계속되고 있다”는 제목의 기사에서 “‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’ OST는 영화 ‘바비’ OST를 넘어 영국에서 역대 OST 가운데 한 주 동안 가장 많은 스트리밍을 기록했다”고 설명했다.

‘골든’은 ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’ 속 걸그룹 헌트릭스의 곡이다. SM엔터테인먼트 연습생 출신 작곡가 이재·가수 오드리 누나·레이 아미가 불렀다. 세 명은 모두 한국계 미국인이다.
